G2MDA’s Journey Shines on Fox 2 News Detroit
Detroit’s own G2 Marketing and Development Agency (G2MDA) continues to make headlines. Founder Eugene Reid was recently featured in a live, in-studio interview on Fox 2 News Detroit, where he shared the story behind G2MDA’s creation, the impact of the Apple Developer Academy, and exciting news about upcoming app launches.
“It was an honor to sit down with Fox 2 and talk about how far we’ve come and where we’re headed,” said Reid. “Detroit is full of talented innovators, and we’re proud to be part of that growth.”
How the Apple Developer Academy Sparked G2MDA
The Apple Developer Academy in Detroit, a partnership between Apple, Michigan State University, and the Gilbert Family Foundation, offers a free, 10-month program focused on coding, design, marketing, and project management.
Eugene Reid credits the program’s mentorship, structure, and hands-on learning for giving him the tools to turn an idea into a full-scale digital agency.
“The mentorship at the Academy was life-changing,” said Reid. “It taught me how to lead, how to build systems, and how to connect purpose with innovation.”Through the Academy, Reid met other talented developers and creators who helped lay the foundation for what would become G2MDA — G2 Marketing and Development Agency — a Detroit-based company helping freelancers and businesses grow through design, marketing, and technology.
Introducing CrewConnect and Risk Ratio — Coming Soon to the App Store
During the interview, Reid also announced two exciting projects currently in development: CrewConnect and Risk Ratio.
CrewConnect is a new platform designed to connect creative professionals, developers, and freelancers — helping teams collaborate, manage projects, and grow together.
Risk Ratio focuses on helping users make smarter, data-driven decisions by tracking risk levels and providing real-time analytics.
Both apps are currently in the final stages of development and will be available soon on the App Store.
“These apps represent what G2MDA is all about — creating digital tools that empower people to connect, build, and succeed,” Reed explained.
